Episode 35: The Controversial Case of Amy Mullis
Jan 21, 2025
Jan 21, 2025
57 min
Similar to the American Gothic painting, the Mullis family portrayed the positive image of rural American values. Todd a farmer, and Amy a nurse and farmer, chose the rural area of Earlville, IA to raise their three children while operating a hog farm. The community was chilled to the bone when Amy Mullis was found, stabbed in the family’s shed. After being rushed to the hospital by her husband and ambulances, Amy was pronounced dead. Her husband reported the incident as an accident, however Amy’s autopsy showed signs otherwise. The investigation ultimately led to the arrest of Todd Mullis, Amy’s husband, despite one their children giving him an alibi. To this day, Todd maintains his innocence and has gained support all around the country. Was Amy truly murdered by her own husband?

Jan 15, 2025
Jan 15, 2025
58 min
"You know the only thing that kills demons, is love" is what Mickey Knox said to Mallory in the 1994 film, Natural Born Killers. Instead of a movie about a crazy murderous couple, 23-year-old Jeremy believed it was the best love story there was. Jeremy, a then 23-year-old living in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada would believe that his best love story involved then 12-year-old, Jasmine Richardson. But was this a love story? Or a tale of manipulation and obsession? Jasmine’s parents Marc and Debra did not approve of their pre-teen dating a 23-year-old man and tried everything in their power to keep him away from their daughter. But nothing, including Jasmines parents would stand in their way. They were determined to be together, even if that meant people had to die. This is a story that reminds us that evil is everywhere … even in those you’d least suspect.

Episode 33: The Legend of the Dybbuk Box
Jan 14, 2025
Jan 14, 2025

In 2004, the LA times released an article regarding a possessed box deemed the dybbuk box. This item soon became one of the most coveted items in the paranormal world. But what is a dybbuk? Belief in the existence of a dybbuk has existed in Jewish folklore as early back as the 16th century. There have been many reports of dybbuk possession throughout the years, but the amount significantly declined with the advancements in medicine. A dybbuk box is said to contain a dybbuk, which seeks to possess an individual. However, the dybbuk box did not come about until the early 2000s. With the paranormal experiences some have had in possession of a dybbuk box, it’s hard to dispute the validity of it. Can a dybbuk truly be contained inside a box?

Sitting on 666 acres, in Weston, West Virginia there is a 242,000 square foot building originally named the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. This asylum was built back in the mid-1800’s with the intention of holding up to 250 patients who suffered from a multitude of mental health disorders. But the hospital even held patients for reasons we today, may never understand such as menopause, novel reading and more. After receiving their first patient in October of 1864, the population in the asylum quickly grew out of control. By 1880, over 700 patients called the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum home. And this number continued to climb. With an estimated over 2,000 unmarked graves on the property, it is clear that the asylum is a place that some never left. Disembodied screams, shadow figures, and even an entity that crawls along the floor are seen by visitors today. Tune in to hear the story of the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. This is a reminder that evil is everywhere, even in places meant to heal.

Quincy, IL, located at the far west side of Illinois on the border of Missouri, is an old industrial city with great architecture. Crime rate is low and the community offers many opportunities for its residents and visitors. The community was chilled to the bone when early in 2023, when one of its own was tragically murdered in her home, Becky Bliefnick. The nurse and mother of 3 was found horrifically shot multiple times after not picking up her kids from school. Going through a terrible divorce, police began to suspect her estranged husband as well as her new boyfriend. With the amount of times Becky had been shot, detectives knew she had to have known her killer. Who would have done something so brutal to this wonderful woman?

Ask anyone in Michigan where they believe is the most haunted location in the United States. More than likely, their answer will be the Eloise Hospital and Infirmary. Originally established in the 1830's, Eloise used to be the largest asylum in the United States housing the areas poor and mentally ill. Back in the 1900's, anyone who was deemed a social outcast would end up in this hospital. However, this was not a place of sanctuary. Patients experienced horrible abuse, torturous medical procedures and sub-par conditions while staying at this hospital. These led to an extreme number of deaths on this enormous property. Since its closing in 1984, reports of paranormal experiences began to come about. Is this former asylum truly haunted or did these horrific events cause something far more evil?

Droves of people, some from over 50 miles away, travelled to Pavia to assist the couple in their search for their boys. But as time went by, theories, rumors and suspicions began to take over.
